N. Jeremi Duru

Mr. Duru is among the nation's foremost authorities on the intersection of race, sports, and law and was named Entertainment and Sports Lawyer of the year in 2005.

N. Jeremi Duru is an Associate Professor at Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law and is among the nation’s foremost authorities on the intersection of race, sports, and law. Before joining Temple’s faculty, Duru was a civil rights litigator and much of his work involved challenges to discriminatory employment practices in professional athletics.

In recognition of this work, the National Bar Association honored Duru with its 2005 Entertainment and Sports Lawyer of the Year award. Duru is a graduate of Brown University, Harvard Law School, and Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
